The biennial colloquia of the Société Internationale de Diachronie du Français (SIDF) provide a forum for exchanges and meetings on the history of the French language, covering all areas of the history of the French language. After the first edition in Nancy in 2011, followed by those in Cambridge 2014, Paris 2016, Neuchâtel 2018, Toulouse 2020 (cancelled due to the health situation) and Munich 2023, the colloquium will be held for the 7th time at Université Grenoble Alpes.
